Links & resources

Here are links to some resources that I think are useful in creating a life you can love:

The Portland Men's Circle This meetup group is a resource for men's groups and activities. If you are a man wishing to connect with a men's group, you may find one through the Men's Circle or email me.

The Portland Spiritual Growth and Adventure Meetup This meetup group, led by yours truly, offers meditation and talking circles, as well as other spiritual educational opportunities and adventures. A great place to explore your inner terrain.

Ipsalu Tantra This particular school of Tantra is where I got my kundalini on. Ipsalu emphasizes the spiritual aspect of Tantra with a body-centered approach, and without getting stuck in any one chakra.

JayaKula.org Shambhavi Saraswati is a Kashmiri Shaivite (original lineage) tantra teacher in Portland, OR. She's great!

Harmonic Visions Karyn Armstrong is a gifted shamanic practitioner in Portland, OR.

Foundation for Shamanic Studies The Foundation is a great source for learning about
Shamanic journeying. Its programs are well run and its teachers are wise and qualified.

Pax Programs Pax does amazing work in healing the rift that exists between the sexes. Their programs are of particular interest for women who wish to heal their relationship to the male gender.

The Mankind Project This is a terrific organization that offers contemporary initiation experiences for men of all races, creeds, colors, classes, and orientations.

Enneagram Portland Enneagram Portland is a terrific resource for those in the Pacific Northwest wishing to learn about this very powerful tool used in spiritual mentoring, psychology and business.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. This book is an invaluable tool for learning how to simply be present, and to let go of harmful thought patterns. Just read it.

The Prophet by Kahil Gibran. This book should be considered holy scripture. It's that good.

Tantric Quest by Daniel Odier.  If you are curious about Tantra, this story of a young man’s initiation by a Tantric dakini in India will inspire you.

Jesus Before Christianity by Albert Nolan. If you want to like Jesus despite the disaster that has been made of Christianity over the past several centuries, this book will rekindle the flame.

Any books by Robert A. Johnson Robert A. Johnson is a treasure. A Jungian analyst who was told his life's purpose by Jung himself, Johnson uses classic myths and fables to deliver unusually potent insights into the human condition. If you had to narrow it down to a few of his books (they're short, buy them all!), you might try Ecstasy, Owning Your Shadow, Inner Work, Balancing Heaven and Earth and The Fisher King and the Handless Maiden. These are my personal favorites.
